Growth Pinus sylvestris and Picea abies in conditions of chemical pollution effect of the metallurgical enterprise was investigated in field studies. The researches were conducted in northern subzone of taiga on Kola peninsula. Was shown, that at increase of the contents of heavy metals in environment occur the change of grafts growth of trees, the reduce a duration of needles life, its number and biomass. The vital condition of pines and spruces on different distance from a source of industrial emissions can diagnostic a level of toxic fall-out from atmosphere.

Studying the process of regeneration of forest forming species on soils of different pollution degree in microcosms studies was arranged for the germination of spruce and pine seeds. For each species four experimental variants were compared. The growth parameters (total length and weight of germs, length and biomass of root system, % germination) well correlated with contamination uptake on different parts of plants. It was noted same interesting dependencies of the contamination uptake from the type of metals, the level of element contains in soil, the species of seeds.
