This poster presents the (minimum set of) standardized Lithology- and Fluid Prediction interpretation products in StatoilHydro, with examples.
Interpretation data, minimum set (always generated): - All multi-versions presented as relative impedance Layer representation, more in line with geological understanding... Easier-to-interpret AVO / fluid factor anomalies... (May not work well close to strong contrasts...) - Fluid factor impedance (i.e. deviations from relative shale-shale reflectivity) to identify anomalies of interest HCs (should) produce deviations below the (data-specific) background trend - P-impedance (i.e. ?Intercept' impedance) One of the fundamental elastic parameters - S-impedance (from AVO inversion) One of the fundamental elastic parameters, (almost) insensitive to variations in fluid type. Corresponding variations in fluid factor and P-impedance, without corresponding variations in S-impedance can be used as strong support for HCs! - (Density (from AVO inversion using high quality far offset/angle data, if available)) One of the fundamental elastic parameters, can e.g. be used to discriminate between oil and gas
Overall goal: - Improve the general LFP / AVO interpretation competence in the organization, by standardizing the set of LFP interpretation products, and through increased involvement of the project/team geoscientists, resulting in feelings of ownership of the LFP interpretation data
