ARPA FVG carried out a survey in order to obtain a distribution map of indoor radon concentration in Friuli Venezia Giulia region (NE Italy) and to define radon prone areas in the same territory. In order to integrate indoor radon measurements, like various European colleagues done, a campaign of measurements of radon in soil in soil gas was planned. At the moment over than 200 measurements in 45 sites in the territory of Udine province were performed. In this paper the analysis of the results of these measurements were reported. In particular the correlation between radon concentration in soil and indoor radon concentration was studied. Furthermore, eventual correlations among the main meteorological and geological parameters of the measurement sites and radon in soil gas concentration were investigated. Although the study was not completed, first results seem to be interesting: particularly the found good agreement between the distribution of radon in soil and radon indoor concentration measured on the investigated area.
