This paper, taking Longhushan Geopark as a case study, discussed the application of communication principles to the Geopark construction so as to create appropriate methods to raise public interests and awareness of the geological heritage of our planet. Development of Geological Park is a new way for people touching geosciences. Utilization of communication principles helps to establish humanization viewpoint in Geopark construction. How best to communicate the fascination of geosciences to a wider public and How to integrate geological resources in tourism offers are also discussed in this paper.
